nina lapierre

Nina Lapierre grew up on the coast of Fairhaven, a small fishing town in southeastern Massachusetts, where her early exposure to the ocean, coastline and working boats continues to influence her work. She attended the Montserrat School of Visual Art in the 1970’s shortly after it’s inception and studied under the founding faculty. A 30 year career in graphic design and illustration followed with 24 years as owner of her own design studio (including the occasional oil painting and commissioned portrait). Much of her work is oil on D'Arches watercolor paper, drawn into with pencil. Other vehicles for paint include canvas, prepared panel and clay surfaces. She currently resides in Ipswich, Massachusetts; has exhibited oils and illustrations in solo and group New England shows and galleries. Her work is in several private collections.
